FULLERTON, CA (July 19, 2010) – Beginning on July 30, Yokohama Tire Corporation will kick off its “Home Team Pride” jersey promotion as part of its sponsorship of the Los Angeles Angels baseball team. The promotion, which will run through September 12, will offer fans an official replica Angels baseball jersey with the purchase of any four Yokohama tires at specified local dealers.
According to Shawn Denlein, Yokohama director of sales, Consumer Products, “The Home Team Pride jersey campaign is something we have rolled out in our NFL and NBA sponsorships in the past. It generates excitement with dealers and fans, ultimately leading to sales. We look forward to a very successful campaign.” In addition to the “Home Team Pride” jersey promotion, Yokohama’s sponsorship agreement with the Angels includes a combination of signage in the Angel Stadium outfield and behind home plate, which is visible on over 70 home games shown in the Los Angeles market, plus up to nine (9) nationwide.
