Formula DRIFT Announces Schedule Change for 2009 Season;
Round 6: Locked and Loaded to be Added to the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma on August 21-22, 2009

Long Beach, Calif. – June 25, 2009 – Formula DRIFT has announced a schedule change for the 2009 season. Round 6: Locked and Loaded at Infineon Raceway will be re-scheduled from September 12 to August 21-22. Formula DRIFT has been added to the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma race weekend.

“Formula DRIFT continues to bring drifting to the big leagues with the addition of our event to the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma,” said Jim Liaw, president and co-founder of Formula DRIFT. “Motorsports fans will be able to experience the 110+ mph average speeds of open wheel racing and all the sideways action of Formula DRIFT in one weekend.”

Formula DRIFT Introduces Miss Formula DRIFT 2009, Miki Taka


Long Beach, Calif. – June 16, 2009 – Formula DRIFT introduces the 2009 Miss Formula DRIFT, Miki Taka. Taka is an experienced model, TV host, and DJ has been chosen as the official spokesmodel for Formula DRIFT and will be at the remaining 4 events of the season.

Originally from Nagoya, Japan, Taka is a Japanese-American that currently resides in Columbus, OH. She is pursuing her degree in Criminal Law, while establishing herself as an import model with Prestigious Models. She has been featured in other events including NHRA, Goodguys, Hot Import Nights, Professional Bull Riders Tour (PBR), Tuaca Body Art Ball and now adds to her resume the title of Miss Formula DRIFT.

FULLERTON, CA (June 1, 2009) – FX Motorsports Development Acura NSX driver Billy Johnson is on a roll. The Yokohama Tire Corporation-sponsored racer claimed victory again in the May 30-31 Redline Time Attack Series at Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, California. Johnson drove the NSX to RWD Unlimited Class and overall event wins, as well as setting the series record – 1:18:555 – on ADVAN A005® racing slicks. Johnson also won the special Super Session event finale, a wheel-to-wheel, five-lap points race featuring the top running cars.

VICI RACING™ Announces Partnership with T-MOBILE USA

VICI Racing™ is delighted to announce today an exciting new partnership with T-Mobile USA, Inc., to take up the challenge of one of global motor sports most professional championships, the American Le Mans Series (ALMS).
